This is a Rhyolite stone with a crystal or crystalline mass with a branching, treelike structure known as Pyrolusite Dendrites MnOz. People often mistake dendrites for plant-like fossils ^_^. We found this piece in Lake Havasu City of Arizona and gave the specimen a light coat of clear gloss to protect the delicate dendrite crystals on the surface of the Rhyolite.
This specimen measures 2 3/4 inches long and 2 1/4 inches wide.
